Track by Track WAR story and LYRICS (below)
Count Four
The General: "This was the only track to be recorded by myself (And then Pupendai record the vocals in his jail cell.)"
Pupendai: "You can tell that i was feeling lonely. Plus the same day i was punched in the eye. You can probably see in some of the photos."
Clockwork Giants
The General: "It was horrible, our city was being attacked by giants. But at the same time i was happy, because the giants had bulldozed the prison."
Pupendai: "So i ran free, put on a disguise and we recorded this track. There is a section where we reflect on the start of this war though."
Flowing Love
Pupendai: "Yes, i was happy to see my girlfriend again, alive. So i wrote these lyrics based on love in this terrible war."
The General: "The tune comes off that as well. Love and War"
Pupendai: "We also played this through a radio and recorded it, much like "Radio call for help."."
Radio Rodent
The General: "This song, i feelgoes to the extreme with sound and music. On our journey to a safe place while the city was being killed off we stopped off at the Cranberry Brass Hall. I gave the very talented musicians my music ideas and we came up with this. You were still quite happy then."
Pupendai: "I was, girlfriend, best friend, out of jail and now back to making music. I could not have been happier."
The General: "The song is actually about us contacting Rodent through our radio, our only way of communication. All mobiles and internet had been blacked out."
Pupendai: "Yeah, Rodent is what we call the army. Some childhood thing we got going. Though we made it out to be an actual rodent on the cover."
The General: "They came along quite quickly and bulldozed the Clockwork Giants for the moment!"
Airline
The General: "My fave song on the album. I wrote it when Rodent sent us a safety plane. They did not care that Pupendai had escaped from jai, everyone was really friendly."
Pupendai: "Super free!"
Disaster City
Pupendai: "It had to happen, our plane crashed and we were back in the war."
The General: "It was horrible, to see how sad everyone was. Blood and tears everywhere."
Pupendai: "And we all wanted to go home. But the Clockwork giants were coming back."
Bleeting Pipe
Pupendai: "This is actually my fave track. There is no lyrics from me and it is a soothing song in a time of war."
The General: "Absolutely. We were both tired of it all. Then we remembered that that music was our thing. So you played the flute on this one didn't you?"
Pupendai: "One of my hidden talents (laugh)."
Radio Call for Help
The General: "The war seemed like it was going on forever. Both of us were starving and thirsty."
Pupendai: "Not to mention smelly."
The General: "We ended up making the call for help a song."
Pupendai: "This song almost did not make it onto the album. Lost the tape."
Comrades
Pupendai: "Another nice moment for us. We came across a cave where we found a whole load of other survivors."
The General: "Yes! At the start of the song we included some of the sounds that were going on outside of the cave. The bombs and wind."
Pupendai: "We sort of brought up everyones confidence with this song!"
Rodent saved the day
The General: "This was song we really wanted to bring that war factor into it. There was so much destruction going on as Rodent sent in even more men to destroy the monsters."
Pupendai: "The song is very dramatic. Rodent saved the day though.. The clockwork monsters were knocked down."
The war is over
The General: "This connects up with the song before quite well. Even though the war is over, we were reflecting on how many had died."
Pupendai: "I was also asking the question, why do people always die?"
The General: "It ends with a steam and a harp playing. This sounds like peace!"
Lyrics
Count 4
Snow Snow Snow Ice flow
Low Low Low Hells soar
Grow Grow Grow Count 4
Go Go Go No Door
Clockwork Giants
Oh you wanna go home? Wanna walk alone?
Clockwork Giants
And we are to blame. City burn in flames
Flowing Love
Do birds sing
when she brings
love?
love?
As we know you can't unwind
buried box treasure that you find
Wave of cold but warmed afloat
love lifts up the sinking boat
love
love
Forgetting the feeling, tossing and turning
Losing the love
Radio Rodent
Festival Lights
Morning Sunshine
Blinking beams and push the troll
lights above and blue down below
Blood and spark in a grey low vent
asking for help from a radio rodent
radio rodent
Ekalopse Wakes you
Airline
soar soar with me
we'll fly super free
when ya wanna go home
theres no one to turn to better
when you wanna go home
walk through cloud till ya met her
till ya met her
Disaster City
Disaster in our city
In comes in from below
Houses gone what a pity
Out of town we will flow
Disasters and wall dents
and Clockwork Giants
They don't know
They don't know
We want to go home (Arms are muddy)
We want to go home (Everybody)
Disaster City
Disaster City
Disaster in our city
A trifle blood and so
Homes are gone what a pity
insect come out from hole
Oh we are
Oh we are
Bleeting Pipe
Radio Call for help
There is no people
I'm on my own
They keep attacking me
Creeps keep on hacking trees
(Laughing at me)
Ekalopse Wakes you
(city in a brew)
(Laughing at me)
Distract for me
Really quite gun beam
Comrades
*Explosion, wind*
In Cave
Comrades
In Ca-a-ave
Guns ready to wave
Wake up!
Guns ready to wave
Comrades!
Welcoming everyone
We fight but we have not won
Welcoming you there
It does not seem fair
People are dieing here
and people are crying there
We're welcoming everyone
Rodent saved the day
Rodent saved the day
The war is over
You may feel free
But not so free of murder
There no TV
Now the war is over
